W68/W88 Series- Throttling/Regulating Single Seat Valves

Overview

Throttling or regulating valves are used to control flow, pressure, or level in high purity processing applications. Waukesha's W68 series of valves use a tapered stem seat to allow a calculated amount of flow through the valve as it opens or closes. W68 or W88 valves are typically equipped with a positioner.

Features

With multiple bodies, actuators, stem types and a wide range of control tops, these valves can be configured to precisely fit any application.
  • Bodies machined from solid bar 316L with laser welded ports
  • Stems available with low and high flow Cv Values
  • Standard "S" clamps used to connect adapters and bodies
  • High pressure capability
  • Seal options Tef-Flow, Tef-Flow P, Tri-Ring (FKM or EPDM), Metal Plug
  • Open yoke 3-A design

Models & Functions

W68 Series- Throttling
W88 Series- Aseptic Stem Flush Throttling
W682 or W88- Divert Throttling
W685 or W885- Non-Slamming Divert Throttling

Positioner Configurations

Pneumatic Moore positioners use 3-15 psi  pneumatic control signal and air supply to drive seat plug into a certain position
Burkert Electropneuamitc positioners use a 4-20 mA electronic feedback signal between the valve stem sensor and a solenoid in the control top which adds or vents air into the actuator to move the plug seat up or down depending on the desired position.
